We've been on holiday to Morocco, where it is hot. Here it is decidedly not hot. We bought lots of lovely stuff; clothes, rugs, jewellery, pottery, woodwork, spices, herbs and a nice Berber mirror. In Morocco there are lots of cats and idiotically casual drivers, camels and people trying to sell you stuff, including camels. Marrakesh is a crazy place - but then a Berber spice merchant would probably think Slough was crazy (and he'd probably be right). I learnt to swim underwater, having only ever swum on top of it before. L learnt how to say 'two teapots' in Arabic but its usage was nul compared the frequency of saying 'laa shokran' (no thankyou). Lots of people very friendly, some because they wanted us to buy stuff, some because they were just friendly. Must go back.
So, back to earth, unfortunately.
New tune Sound of Sleat is available. It sounds nothing like the new album by The Handsome Family or It Makes No Never Mind by Swamptrash, which I have finally tracked down on CD after a 10-year search - so my vinyl copy can have a rest.
Now - Michael 'Portaloo' Portillo doing some ironing...
